Carlyle Accused of Interfering With Real Estate Joint Venture

Carlyle Group Inc. is facing litigation in Delaware brought by a real estate joint venture partner that claims the private equity giant meddled in its business by teaming up with the partnership’s other member—which has already settled—to usurp its opportunities.

The lawsuit, made public Wednesday in Delaware Chancery Court, accuses Carlyle of working with REDCO Fund I Manager LLC to develop commercial properties that fall within the scope of REDCO’s agreement with Atlantic NWI LLC, which originally filed the complaint under seal Nov. 2.
