BP Products to Pay $40M Penalty in Settlement Over Air Pollution

BP Products North America, a subsidiary of BP p.l.c, will pay a penalty of $40 million in settlement with the US Justice Department and Environmental Protection Agency to reduce hazardous air emissions at the company’s Whiting Refinery in Indiana.

  • Company will also implement injunctive relief valued over $197 million to correct deficiencies
