BofA, PayPal Join 59 Other Companies in Committing to ESG Goals

Bank of America Corp., PayPal Holdings Inc. and Salesforce.com Inc. are among 61 global companies that will start using a set of ESG metrics to measure things like pay equality, board diversity and greenhouse-gas emissions.

The companies have committed to report annually to investors the progress that they’re making on 21 ESG-focused “Stakeholder Capitalism Metrics” compiled by the World Economic Forum’s International Business Council, the WEF said in a statement Tuesday. The goal is to improve how a company’s environmental, social and governance performance can be measured and compared.
