Boeing Co. said it is expanding worker training and adding new tools as it addresses breakdowns in its manufacturing processes.
- Planemaker has added about 20 to 50 hours of additional training per employee in manufacturing and quality roles, company said in a statement
- More than 7,000 new tools and other equipment have been provided across its commercial airplane programs
- Changes were made in response to feedback garnered from day-long sessions with workers, Boeing said
- About 70,000 workers have participated in quality stand downs
