Boeing Investors Reject Calls to Study DEI Risks, Progress (1)

Boeing Co. shareholders on Thursday spurned competing campaigns to study the dangers the airplane maker faces in embracing—or abandoning—diversity, equity, and inclusion policies.

The investor proposals from the anti-DEI activist National Legal and Policy Center, and John Chevedden, an environmental, social, and governance advocate, failed to secure majority support from Boeing shareholders, according to preliminary results announced at the company’s annual meeting. But Boeing, which encouraged its investors to oppose the resolutions, didn’t release a vote tally.
