Boeing Hit With Records Suit Following 737 MAX 8 Crashes

The Boeing Co. was hit with a lawsuit demanding company records that will allegedly show if mismanagement was to blame for the deadly and costly safety flaws grounding the global 737 MAX 8 fleet.

The lawsuit, filed in Delaware Chancery Court and unsealed Aug. 8, represents a preliminary step toward holding Boeing’s leadership responsible for damage to the company’s revenues and reputation following crashes in Ethiopia and Indonesia that killed 346 people in total. The MAX 8 has been grounded worldwide since the second crash in March.
