BlackRock’s Head of Munis Peter Hayes Set to Retire in 2024 (1)

BlackRock Inc.’s head of municipal bonds, Peter Hayes, is poised to retire in early 2024 after nearly four decades managing state and local government debt.

He’ll be replaced by Patrick Haskell, who will join the world’s largest asset manager as the deputy head of the municipal bond group until Hayes’ departure when he’ll take over managing the business, according to an internal memo obtained by Bloomberg News.

Haskell most recently served as head of the municipal securities group and co-head of fixed income capital markets at Morgan Stanley.
