Biden Says He Will Fight Book Bans, ‘Hysterical’ LGBTQ Targeting

President Joe Biden announced new federal efforts designed to help LGBTQ youth and counter book bans following Republican efforts at the state and local level to pass laws targeting transgender Americans.

“Our fight is far, far from over, because we have some hysterical — and I would argue prejudiced — people,” Biden said at a press conference with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
