BGOV Bill Analysis: Amended H.R. 6644, House Housing Package

The Housing and Urban Development Department would create new programs to support affordable housing, ramp up housing production in states and cities, and ease environmental regulations for federally funded housing developments under the House’s latest proposal on H.R. 6644 released on May 19.

The revised package marks the House’s second go-round on housing legislation, having previously passed the bill (BGOV Bill Analysis) in February.
