Bezos-Musk Rivalry Blamed for Amazon Satellite Project Delay (1)

A pension fund sued Jeff Bezos and members of Amazon.com Inc.'s board, saying the choice to hinge a huge satellite project on Bezos’ Blue Origin, driven by the billionaire’s rivalry with Elon Musk, has led to years of delays.

The lawsuit, made public late Monday, says the board engaged in virtually no oversight over launch contracting for Project Kuiper, Amazon’s second-largest-ever capital expenditure—after its $13.7 billion acquisition of Whole Foods—despite obvious conflicts of interest raised by its reliance on a company owned by Bezos.
