BenevolentAI Founder Claims Victory in Boardroom Coup

BenevolentAI’s founder and largest shareholder has succeeded in regaining control of the board as he tries to revive the struggling AI drug discovery company.

Ken Mulvany, the founder and former chairman of the UK company, will be a board member again and be joined by three other new non-executive directors he proposed, including the former chairman of Clinigen Plc, Peter Allen. The new chair will be determined at the first board meeting, BenevolentAI said in a statement Thursday.
