AT&T to Move HQ to the Suburbs From Downtown Dallas Office Tower

AT&T Inc. announced plans to build a new global headquarters in Plano, Texas, moving out of downtown Dallas in a blow to a struggling city center that has long been losing major office tenants to the surrounding suburbs.

The new corporate campus will span 54 acres (22 hectares), Chief Executive Officer John Stankey said in a message to employees. AT&T, the third-largest mobile phone provider in the US, plans to begin moving to the new development in the second half of 2028.
