Apollo Urged by Teacher Groups to Probe CEO’s Political Work (1)

Two teacher organizations are asking Apollo Global Management Inc. to investigate Chief Executive Officer Marc Rowan’s apparent use of the firm’s resources to support his work with President Donald Trump’s administration in violation of company policy.

The American Federation of Teachers and American Association of University Professors made the request over Rowan’s work on a White House compact designed to grant preferential federal funding to universities in return for commitments to specific policy changes such as bans on diversity, equity and inclusion programs.
