AMC Shareholders Write in Droves Urging Judge to Reject APE Deal

An unusual number of AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. shareholders are asking a Delaware judge to reject a class action settlement that would sideline retail investors in favor of those holding preferred units called APEs.

Nearly 20 letters from investors to Vice Chancellor Morgan T. Zurn were posted to the case docket as of Wednesday. Most of the letters, from shareholders not otherwise involved in the litigation, urge Zurn in passionate terms to rebuff the agreement between AMC and the pension fund leading the case.
