AMC Hit With New Investor Lawsuit as Judge Weighs APE Deal (1)

An investor sued AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc. on Monday to demand a board election at the theater chain, which is embroiled in a separate shareholder case over its controversial APE units.

The lawsuit in Delaware’s Chancery Court seeks an order compelling the company to hold its first general shareholder meeting and board election in about 13 months. Two board members appointed as replacements in January are overdue to face an initial investor vote, according to the complaint.

AMC didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
