Altice Co-Founder Pereira Can Be Released on Bail, Lawyer Says

A Portuguese judge decided that Altice co-founder Armando Pereira, who is currently under house arrest, can be released on €10 million ($10.6 million) bail, one of Pereira’s lawyers said.

The judge approved a request from Pereira’s lawyers to replace the obligation to remain at home with his release on bail, lawyer Pedro Marinho Falcao said by telephone on Wednesday. Pereira has been under house arrest in Portugal since July as part of a corruption probe.
