Altivia Petrochemicals LLC is unable to avoid a lawsuit by the federal government saying it’s failing to control emissions at its petrochemical manufacturing facility in Haverhill, Ohio in violation of the Clean Air Act, a federal court in the state ruled.
The government’s allegations fairly put Altivia on notice that its systems were releasing emissions and not properly controlled for leaks, according to the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. EPA inspectors visited the facility in 2017 and found it out-of-compliance with multiple regulations in its permit, the government’s lawsuit says.
