Wind, Solar Groups Call for Electricity Market Design Overhaul (1)

Wind and solar groups say market reforms need to be made in the PJM and MISO electricity markets to allow the renewable technologies to be able to compete on a more level playing field with other resources.

The top recommendation for both grid operators is to continue to work on flexibility in market design, Rob Gramlich, founder and president of Grid Strategies LLC, the clean energy consulting firm that wrote the report, told Bloomberg Environment.
