Williams CEO Says Northeast Governors Support Constitution Pipe

Williams Cos Chief Executive Officer Chad Zamarin said governors of New England states have expressed support for the company’s controversial Constitution natural gas pipeline project.

“We’ve met with all of the New England governors. We’ve met with all of the utilities, and there’s strong interest in the project,” Zamarin said during an interview in Brooklyn. The company has filed paperwork for the pipeline with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission “as of today,” he added.

Williams’ goal is to have the pipeline online by winter 2027, but the timeline may be pushed back a year if complications arise, Zamarin said. ...
