The Biden administration said Thursday it will tell agencies to buy low-carbon types of steel, concrete, asphalt, and flat glass.
Taken together, those four materials account for nearly half of all domestic carbon emissions from the manufacturing sector, and 98% of the government’s construction materials purchases, according to a White House fact sheet.
