The federal government’s central purchaser is searching for contractors to help it install billions of dollars worth of energy efficiency and renewable power equipment at federal facilities, a top official said Wednesday.
The General Services Administration is looking for HVAC technicians, pipefitters, and electricians to install heat pumps and energy-efficient boilers at 10 locations throughout New England, according to agency administrator Robin Carnahan.
The GSA also needs solar panel technicians to install thousands of panels at government facilities along the southern US border in California and Arizona, Carnahan said.
