Wells Fargo Worker Gets Second Shot With Race, Age Bias Claims

A Black woman who worked for Wells Fargo Bank NA will be allowed a second chance to amend her age and race discrimination complaint after she was passed over for a promotion by a younger White female employee, a federal court in North Carolina said.

Adrienne Boone, who was 62 when she filed her original complaint, alleged that she wasn’t promoted to the position of Investment Management Specialist because of her race, age, and sex, despite having taken on some clients tied to the role and despite meeting the role’s experience qualifications.
