A liberal Florida prosecutor fired by Gov. Ron DeSantis for “neglect of duty” should be reinstated, a pair of her voters allege in a federal lawsuit filed Thursday.
DeSantis’s (R) suspension and replacement of Democrat Monique Worrell was baseless and violated the First and Fourteenth Amendments of the US Constitution, alleged a complaint filed by a liberal activist group and two of the roughly 400,000 voters who elected the “reform-minded” Worrell in 2020.
