Verizon Says It Wants to Issue More Green Bonds as Demand Rises

Verizon Communications Inc. isn’t done issuing debt to fund environmentally-friendly projects. The largest U.S. wireless carrier may follow its successful February green bond debut with other similar deals, not just in dollars.

“We don’t access the market and be one-and-done. Our aspiration is to be issuing more,” Kee Chan Sin, Verizon’s assistant treasurer, said in a Sept. 27 telephone interview. “We want to make sure we spend the $1 billion and then we can come to the market for a new bond.”
