The top Republican on the House Natural Resources panel, Rep. Rob Bishop (Utah), said July 29 he will retire as planned in 2020, ending months of speculation that he might decide to run for re-election.
Bishop announced he is going forward with his retirement plans in a morning meeting with Utah’s Deseret News editorial board in the morning, and a spokesperson with the House Natural Resources Committee, Kristina Baum, confirmed his plans to Bloomberg Environment.
