Permits issued by the Utah Department of Natural Resources for new energy projects violate the constitutional rights of Utah young people, according to a new climate lawsuit filed in state court on Monday.
The lawsuit, Roberts v. Board of Oil, Gas, and Mining, challenges the more than 300 permits granted by Utah energy regulators since March, a number that continues to grow without due process and concern for health and environmental welfare, according to the lawsuit.
