A Utah judge has reaffirmed a $20.7 million judgment against the city of Tooele, Utah, for breaching an agreement to provide drinking water to a mixed-used development in exchange for the developer providing land to the city (Tooele Associates Ltd. Partnership v. Tooele City).
Judge Randall Skanchy of the 3rd District Court denied several motions filed by the city, including a motion for judgment notwithstanding a verdict, Bruce R. Baird of Salt Lake City, attorney for the developer, Tooele Associates, told BNA Oct. 14.
