A silver mining company in Idaho illegally discharged arsenic, lead, and other pollutants into the South Fork Coeur d’Alene River, an environmental group alleged in a federal lawsuit.
The Idaho Conservation league sued US Silver - Idaho Inc., alleging that it repeatedly discharged pollutants from its Galena Complex Mine without a the appropriate state and federal permits, racking up approximately 1,253 separate Clean Water Act violations from March 2021 to February 2023.
