US Finalizes $7.54B Loan for Samsung SDI-Stellantis Battery Hub

The Biden administration has finalized a $7.54 billion loan for a joint venture between Samsung SDI Co. and Stellantis NV to create battery manufacturing plants in Indiana, the Energy Department announced Tuesday.

  • The loan to StarPlus Energy LLC will fund up to two lithium-ion battery cell and module manufacturing plants in Kokomo, Indiana
