US Energy Regulator Must Tackle Climate Realities, Ex-Chair Says

One year ago, Richard Glick was ascendant, chairing a new Democratic majority in pursuit of landmark policies on electric transmission and natural gas pipelines that would cement his legacy at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.

On Tuesday, the commission returns to work without Glick. The transmission rules remain pending, the gas policy was walked back amid opposition, and a new chairman has the gavel of a 2-2 commission, raising questions about how those policies may proceed.
