Univar Solutions USA Inc. has reached a $134,386 settlement with the Environmental Protection Agency in regard to improper management of hazardous waste claims at a facility in Commerce, Calif., according to the EPA on Wednesday.
During an inspection investigators allegedly found that the company failed to make accurate waste determination, failed to perform an assessment on a tank holding hazardous waste, and failed to meet air emissions standards, the agency said.
This facility has come into compliance since receiving notification of these violations, it added.
