United Airlines defeated a class action from customers alleging the company misled them about its sustainability practices after a federal court said the suit was preempted by federal law.
“The deceptive provision of services is the heart of the claim” so it’s blocked by the Airline Deregulation Act, Judge Paula Xinis of the US District Court for the District of Maryland said Tuesday.
