The U.S. is on track to possibly auction rights to build offshore wind farms along the North and South Carolina coast next year, even as it moves to sell tracts near New York and California, Bureau of Ocean Energy Management Director Amanda Lefton said Thursday.
- “We plan to hold lease sales for the New York Bight by the end of this year or early next, and for offshore Carolina, possibly in 2022,” Lefton said at the International Offshore Wind Partnering Forum
