The Trump administration is proposing to scrap a prohibition on logging some of Eastern Oregon’s largest, most carbon-dense trees, according to a Federal Register notice scheduled for Tuesday publication.
The proposal would toss out a rule against cutting trees 21 inches in diameter and larger in six national forests in Oregon east of the crest of the Cascade Mountains, according to the notice.
