U.K. Regulator Says Four Power Suppliers Broke Green Rules

Britain’s power market regulator said four energy suppliers haven’t paid fees required of them to support renewables, resulting in a shortage of 59 million pounds ($75 million) in a fund created for that purpose.

The Office of Gas and Electricity Markets said it’s investigating Economy Energy, Spark Energy, URE Energy and Eversmart over outstanding payments to its buy-out fund. The action was announced in a statement on Nov. 21.
