U.K. Government Urged to Set 2050 Carbon-Neutral Goal

The British government should set a carbon-neutral greenhouse gas target by mid-century as soon as possible to kick-start more investment on low-carbon services and products, business executives said an April 4 panel.

Such a goal “could potentially put U.K, businesses in a competitive position to meet growing domestic and global demand for ultra-low carbon infrastructure, products and services” said Nick Molho, executive director of the Aldersgate Group, a coalition of business leaders promoting sustainability that sponsored the panel in London.
