Twin Metals Minnesota LLC, after more than a decade of preparation, filed plans to construct a mine in Minnesota, seeking to tap one of the world’s largest undeveloped copper, nickel, cobalt, and platinum-group metals deposits.
The company, a subsidiary of Chile-based Antofagasta Plc, filed Dec. 18 for environmental review a mine plan of operations with the Bureau of Land Management and a scoping environmental assessment worksheet with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.
