Environmental groups are readying their legal fight against the Trump administration’s approach to federal water protections, filing a formal notice of plans to sue under the Endangered Species Act.
The Center for Biological Diversity, Waterkeeper Alliance, the Turtle Island Restoration Network, and watershed advocates from around the country told the Environmental Protection Agency and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in a Feb. 13 letter they plan to go to court over the agencies’ new Navigable Waters Protection Rule.
