The stage is set in 2026 for the Trump administration to finalize and propose a spate of new air emission and pollution rollbacks, ticking away at a deregulatory agenda that still has untouched items on its roster.

The administration set goals early in 2025 to undo regulations on the oil and gas and manufacturing industries, in order to bolster American energy dominance, lower electric bills, and ease the path forward for a sea of new AI data centers.
