President Donald Trump nominated David LaCerte to join the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and fill the vacancy left by former commissioner Willie L. Phillips.
LaCerte, a veteran of the first Trump administration, currently serves at the US Office of Personnel Management. He previously worked at the US Chemical and Hazard Investigations Board and at Baker Botts LLP as special counsel. He would serve the remainder of Phillips’ term ending June 30, 2026.
