The Trump administration on Monday took additional steps to roll back Biden-era initiatives that threatened to curb oil and gas development in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska.

Interior Department said in a news release it had rescinded three documents published since July 2024 that helped pave the way for more so-called special areas within the reserve and more restrictions on development within them- One rescinded policy memorandum, issued in January, specified how Interior would protect proposed special areas
