President Donald Trump on his first day in office removed the US from the Paris Climate Agreement and rolled back more than a dozen Biden administration executive actions on the environment, including environmental justice orders and roadblocks to oil and gas drilling.

Trump on Monday declared a national energy emergency, temporarily blocked all new onshore and offshore leasing and permitting for wind energy, withdrew US waters from offshore wind leasing, and opened Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil and gas development.
