Trump Grants Permits for Enbridge’s Cross-Border Pipelines (1)

Enbridge Inc. was granted nine permits by US President Donald Trump to operate existing pipelines that cross from Canada and expand throughput on a system in North Dakota.

The permits apply to eight lines, including the Bakken Pipeline, according to a White House official familiar with the authorizations. One permit is for construction and includes replacing a 12-inch line near Burke County, North Dakota, with a 24-inch line that would allow it to transport a greater variety of products, the official said.
