Trump-Era Colorado Fracking Plan Canceled By Federal Court

An oil and gas development plan backed by the Trump administration that would allow fracking across 35,000 acres of Colorado’s Western Slope has been cut short by a federal judge.

  • A coalition of environment advocacy groups, including Citizens for a Healthy Community, Center for Biological Diversity and WildEarth Guardians, had accused the Bureau of Land Management and US Forest Service in a lawsuit of violating federal law by inadequately analyzing the plan’s environmental impacts such as greenhouse gas emissions
