The Trump administration is redefining a “ski area” in national forests to allow resorts to adapt to warmer winters as the climate changes, according to a Federal Register public inspection notice posted Tuesday.
The US Forest Service this week will issue a final rule redefining “ski area” without public comment, allowing ski resorts in national forests to operate all year without a primary focus on winter sports.
