Trump Administration Readying Wildfire Bill Proposal

The Trump administration plans to propose legislation “any day now” that would change forest management to reduce wildfire risk, a top Interior official told a House appropriations subcommittee March 26.

Interior Principal Deputy Secretary Scott Cameron told the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies that the proposal will seek to reduce the risk of damaging forest fires and the public health concerns that come as a result.
