Trump Administration Foe Drops Water Challenge, Citing Biden Win

One of the Trump administration’s biggest environmental foes is bowing out of litigation over the rollback of an Obama-era water rule, opting to focus resources elsewhere in light of President-elect Joe Biden’s victory.

The Center for Biological Diversity on Tuesday moved to voluntarily dismiss its challenge to the EPA and Army Corps of Engineers’ rescission of the 2015 Clean Water Rule. The U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California approved the request Thursday, dropping the Center for Biological Diversity and another group, the Center for Food Safety, from the docket.
