Tribal Utility Reaches Settlement in Water Pollution Suit

The Northern Cheyenne Utilities Commission has agreed to make improvements and pay a small fine for water pollution violations at its wastewater treatment facility in Montana, according to a filing in a federal court in the state.

NCUC released pollutants from the Lame Deer Wastewater Treatment Facility in violation of its National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Permit, the federal government told the U.S. District Court for the District of Montana.
