Transco’s Suit Over Pipeline Permits Must Be Tossed, Groups Urge

A Transcontinental Gas Pipe Line Co. LLC lawsuit seeking a declaration against state agency review of permits for its natural gas expansion project in Pennsylvania lacks legal basis, environmental groups argued pushing for dismissal.

The complaint should be dismissed because the Natural Gas Act doesn’t preempt state administrative review of interstate pipeline permits, the environmental groups said on Tuesday to the US District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
