Bowen Transportation Inc., URS Midwest Inc., and West Wind Logistics Inc. have reached settlements totaling $262,500 in penalties for allegedly violating the California Air Resources Board’s Truck and Bus Regulation and Transport Refrigeration Unit Regulation, according to the Environmental Protection Agency Monday.
The interstate trucking companies allegedly didn’t install controls to reduce pollution and verify that their diesel-fueled trucks complied with the state rules, the agency said.
